Moosend Review (2025) Do we Recommend it?

The user interface was recently updated, along with the email and form builder, however, Moosend is still not quite as easy to use as other tools such as MailerLite.

In the drag-and-drop email builder, you can set your default settings for everything from text to buttons. All the important content elements are included: video, countdown timer, products, etc., and live chat is on hand to help. Since the update, Moosend has added 10 new, beautifully designed email templates. Adding your own HTML code is simple to do, and you can add a plain text version.

Collaborating on email campaigns just got a lot easier, teams can now add comments to each other’s email designs, within the “comments” mode. This allows users to add and reply to any feedback, notifying users whenever their teammates add suggestions. Users can then mark these as “resolved” or “unresolved”.

You can add custom fields to the subject line and email body.

Classic newsletters, autoresponders, A/B testing, recurring newsletters, automated workflows. No SMS marketing available.

Since the update, Moosend now offers over 70 customizable email newsletter templates, sorted by category. Another cool thing is that you can easily import professional photos from Unsplash into your templates.

18 excellent marketing automation templates available. The visual automation builder is well-designed, much better than the newsletter editor.

Import contacts via .TXT .CSV, excel import, manually, copy/paste, or via Google contacts or Salesforce integration. You can easily copy subscribers to other lists and unsubscribe or delete contacts from single or all lists.
The segmentation templates offered really speed things up. You can also create a custom segment.

There are hundreds of free fully customizable signup form templates, which you can add your own custom fields to directly in the form builder. You can add the form by embedding the HTML, or you can connect your site and publish it directly.

They now offer a “wheel of fortune” form type, which is something we’ve seen previously with Omnisend. Coincidence? I think not, however, it’s a great way to engage users and grow your list. 

Moosend has improved its deliverability according to our latest deliverability tests. They came fourth out of fifteen providers in our January test, scoring 90.1%.

They were also one of the only providers to achieve a 100% delivery rate to Yahoo, Outlook, Hotmail, and AOL inboxes, which demonstrates its exceptional email delivery performance across our top email platforms.

Reports are nicely designed and therefore easy to read. You have all the info you need: unique and total opens, clicks, unsubscribes, bounces, forwards, etc. You can deep dive with data on devices, browsers, geolocation and a click heatmap, all available in real-time.

You can easily share reports with your team with no-password-needed links, and export and download reports to help your team make better decisions.

If you already have a Google Analytics account linked to your website, you can easily track any link clicks from your campaign. You can also track campaign revenue.

Available in seven languages.

Free spam and design testing are available. It checks whether your email will pass the spam filters of all major email clients and offers suggestions for improvements. Find out how to avoid spam filters here.

Shows bounces in reports. Hard bounces are added to a suppression list

Yes, this is called a ‘suppression list’. Moosend automatically adds hard bounces and complaints, but you can also upload contacts manually and export them.

There’s no central area where images are stored.
