We like that AWeber only has one price plan that changes based on the number of subscribers you have. It makes it easy to pick the right one straight away, without having to check a long table to compare different offers with varying features. But, unfortunately, AWeber isn’t our favorite email marketing solution, ranking rather low in our own table. Their features underwhelmed us, and the user experience is passable at best. Still, if your mind is set on this company, here is their offer:
AWeber costs $19 per month for up to 500 subscribers, $29 per month for up to 2,500 subscribers, $49 per month for 5,000, and $149 per month for up to 25,000 subscribers. There is no free plan, but a free trial period of 30 days. All pricing tiers include the same features.
So as you can see, many competitors like MailerLite or MailChimp offer the equivalent of their $19 monthly plan for free. This makes AWeber generally quite expensive, and you can get even more features for cheaper with other companies, like Sendinblue. But let’s see what features you get below:
|Templates and smart design editor||700 +|
|Reporting & Segmentation||Yes|
|Stock Photos||6,000 +|
|Newsletter inbox preview||No|
|Email, Phone & Live Chat support||Yes|
|AWeber Pricing based on list size (unlimited emails included)|
|500 users||$19 a month|
|2,500 users||$29 a month|
|5,000 users||$49 a month|
|10,000 users||$69 a month|
|25,000 users||$149 a month|
|50,000 users||$239 a month|
|100,000 users||$369 a month|
|250,000 users||Request a quote|
Still unsure? You can use our price calculator tool to compare AWeber’s prices with its best alternatives.
As we mentioned earlier, AWeber isn’t our favorite solution for managing email marketing and newsletters. And they are not doing themselves any favors with their pricing and plans, especially by counting unsubscribed users towards your billing.
The lack of a free plan also means you need to start paying straight away (or after the 30-day trial), and even the entry-level offer is rather expensive for up to 500 subscribers at $19 per month. You get much more for your money with tools like ActiveCampaign. And while their later tiers are more in line with the competition, you can still find cheaper and with more features by using MailerLite, for instance.

As mentioned above, any email address added counts as a subscriber in terms of your monthly quota – even if that person unsubscribes! You should therefore regularly delete your unsubscribes manually to make sure you are not charged extra. AWeber does not charge for anybody listed as Confirmation Pending.
