Creatio is a little different from most of the CRM software we test. It is an AI CRM and no-code workflow platform that lets larger organizations adapt sales, marketing and customer service processes to the way their teams already work.
That flexibility immediately caught my attention. Using Creatio Business Studio and AI Studio, I could change page layouts, move dashboard widgets around and build workflows, apps, and AI agents without writing code. The agents can qualify leads, summarize meetings, update records and suggest what your sales team should do next.
There is a catch, though. This is not a lightweight CRM that you can set up during your lunch break. There are a lot of features to get your head around, and its pricing is more complicated than the headline figures suggest.
So, is all that extra power actually useful? In this Creatio review, I’ll take you through what I liked, what I found frustrating and which businesses I think will get the most value from it.
Creatio Summary
Creatio is an AI CRM and no-code workflow platform aimed mainly at medium-sized and larger businesses. It combines sales, marketing and customer service tools with advanced workflow automation, detailed reports and AI agents that work across each area.
Its biggest strength is how much you can change. You can customize dashboards, fields, page layouts, permissions and workflows without relying on a developer every time your processes change. I also liked that its AI tools work with the information inside your CRM instead of simply generating generic text.
However, Creatio will be too much for some teams. It has a steeper learning curve than simpler CRMs, requires at least five users, and comes with a three-year contract. You also need to add the price of products such as Creatio Sales to the cost of the base platform.
I’d recommend Creatio to established businesses that have complex processes and genuinely need this level of control. If you only want to store contacts and move deals through a simple pipeline, you’ll find a cheaper and easier CRM elsewhere.
Creatio Pricing
$ 40
Growth
Per user per month for the base no-code platform. CRM products are charged separately.
$ 75
Enterprise
Per user per month. Includes more advanced platform and administration features.
$ Custom quote
Unlimited
Custom, capacity-based pricing rather than a per-user fee.
Creatio’s pricing isn’t quite as straightforward as it first appears. The prices above cover the base no-code platform, but not the individual CRM products.
For example, Creatio Sales starts at an additional $15/user/month. That means the cheapest combination of the Growth platform and Sales product starts at $55/user/month.
Creatio’s AI features run on AI Credits. You get an annual allocation with your plan, but may need to buy more if your team uses the AI agents heavily.
One more important detail is that Creatio requires at least five users and a three-year contract. It’s definitely not targeting freelancers or very small businesses.
I’d ask Creatio for a detailed quote before signing up. The total will depend on your platform tier, the CRM products you add and how much AI you expect to use.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Cons
Pros
Plenty of customization options
Creatio’s no-code approach is its biggest selling point. You can change dashboards, page layouts, fields and permissions, or create completely different views for different teams.
I especially liked being able to move dashboard widgets around and focus on the figures I actually wanted to see. Creatio Business Studio also lets you build workflows and apps around your processes, so you aren’t stuck with the standard setup.
Powerful workflows
The visual workflow editor lets you connect triggers, conditions and actions using a drag-and-drop interface. You could qualify a lead, assign it to the right salesperson, create a task, send an email and update the opportunity record in the same workflow.
It is much more flexible than the basic automations offered by many CRMs we’ve tested, although complicated workflows take time to plan and test.
Useful AI agents
Creatio’s AI agents can work with CRM records and workflows, so their output is based on your actual customer and sales data.
For example, the Meeting Preparation Agent can analyze an opportunity, recommend the next step, and draft a follow-up based on previous communication. You can also build agents in AI Twin using natural-language instructions, although you’ll need to monitor your AI Credit usage..
Detailed reports
Creatio provides detailed information about conversion rates, opportunity progress, revenue forecasts, and team results, while customizable dashboards let you focus on your own KPIs. Its AI analytics can also help identify bottlenecks and productivity patterns, although smaller businesses may not need quite so much detail.
Cons
It can feel overwhelming at first
When I first opened Creatio, I found the dashboard quite busy, with lots of figures, menus and customization options to take in. It made more sense once I understood how everything was organized, but I’d still expect new users to need some training: no-code does not necessarily mean beginner-friendly.
Confusing pricing
The advertised prices cover Creatio’s underlying platform, after which you add products such as Sales, Marketing or Service. Extra AI tokens may also increase the cost. I can see the benefit of choosing only what you need, but the modular setup makes Creatio harder to compare with CRMs that charge one clear price per user.
Long contract commitments
The five-user minimum and three-year contract will be a deal-breaker for some businesses. Even if you like the software, that is a big commitment to make before you’ve used it with your whole team over a longer period.
Complex integrations
You can connect Creatio with tools such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace and add more apps through the Creatio Marketplace. However, not every integration is a one-click setup: connecting a corporate Google Workspace account, for example, involves configuring a Google Cloud project, which is more technical than I expected.
Is Creatio the right CRM software for you?
Recommended if:
Not recommended if:
You have complex business processes
Creatio makes sense if your sales, marketing or service processes involve several stages, conditions and handovers. Its workflow builder gives you much more control than the simple automations included with many small-business CRMs.
You need a highly customizable CRM
If you’ve struggled to make other CRMs fit the way your teams work, Creatio is worth a look. You can adapt records, dashboards, permissions and workflows instead of accepting a one-size-fits-all setup.
You want to use AI throughout your CRM
Creatio’s AI agents can take action using the data in your account, rather than just helping you write the occasional email. They’re particularly interesting for businesses that already know which sales and service tasks they want to automate.
You run a small business
Creatio’s five-user minimum, three-year contract and modular pricing make it a difficult fit for smaller teams. One of our recommended CRMs for small businesses will probably be easier and cheaper to manage.
You only need a basic sales pipeline
If all you want to do is store contacts, track deals and schedule follow-ups, you’re unlikely to use enough of Creatio’s features to justify the extra setup.
Email marketing is your priority
Creatio includes email templates, bulk campaigns and a visual campaign builder. You can trigger messages based on deal stages, form submissions and contact activity.
These tools are useful for sales-led communication, but Creatio isn’t a replacement for a dedicated email marketing platform. You’ll find better newsletter editors and ecommerce automations elsewhere.
Rating Details
Ease of Use Info popup
The dashboard gives you a useful overview of open leads, opportunity values, team performance and forecasted revenue. It’s clean, but there’s a lot going on.
I liked being able to customize what appears on the screen, although getting everything set up will take longer than it would with a lightweight CRM.
Pipeline Management Info popup
Creatio’s standard opportunity view covers the essential deal information, but it doesn’t include a built-in Kanban-style pipeline. To manage opportunities visually by moving cards between stages, you’ll need to install an additional app from the Creatio Marketplace. This feels unnecessarily complicated compared with CRMs that include a Kanban board as standard.
Contact/Deal Management Info popup
Contact records bring together accounts, opportunities, activities and communication history. This gives sales reps a clear view of each relationship and provides Creatio’s AI agents with the context they need to make useful suggestions.
You can also customize the fields and layouts, which is handy if your company collects information that doesn’t fit neatly into a standard CRM record.
Email Features Info popup
Creatio integrates with Gmail, Outlook and other email providers, so you can sync conversations and manage sales emails from inside the CRM.
Its campaign builder lets you send bulk emails and create automated sequences linked to your pipeline. It’s practical for CRM-based communication, but businesses focused on newsletters or ecommerce will want more advanced email marketing features.
Automation Info popup
This is where Creatio really shines. The visual editor supports multi-step workflows with triggers, conditions and actions across different departments.
I liked that AI agents can be added to workflows to analyze information, write a response or recommend what should happen next. It gives you a lot of flexibility, although building more complex processes will take some planning.
Reporting Info popup
Creatio’s reports go into plenty of detail, covering sales conversions, opportunity progress, forecasts, team performance and more. Dashboards can be customized, and its AI tools can help identify trends and bottlenecks.
It’s a strong reporting setup for businesses that actively use their data. If you only want a quick monthly sales total, it may be more than you need.
Lead Scoring
Creatio supports predictive lead scoring and can use profile and engagement data to help teams prioritize prospects. The setup is flexible, but getting the most useful results depends on having enough reliable CRM data and configuring the model around your sales process.
Live Chat
Creatio can bring website chat conversations into its contact and service workflows, helping teams keep customer interactions connected to the relevant CRM record. It is most useful as part of a wider service setup rather than as a lightweight standalone chat tool.
Web Tracking
Creatio can track website activity and use it to enrich contact profiles, segment audiences and trigger follow-up workflows. This is useful for connecting marketing behavior with sales activity, although implementation takes more work than with a simple plug-and-play CRM.
Security Info popup
Creatio provides detailed role-based permissions and administration controls, which should suit organizations with several teams or more complex data-access requirements. As with any enterprise CRM, the final setup will depend heavily on how carefully your administrators configure those permissions.
Languages
Creatio supports 28 interface languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese. Only English is enabled by default, so an administrator needs to activate and compile any additional languages before users can select them.
Integrations & Apps
Creatio works with widely used business tools such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. You can add more integrations through its marketplace or build your own.
There is plenty of flexibility here, but some connections require more technical setup than I would expect from a typical CRM integration.
Support
Creatio provides extensive documentation, training and implementation resources, which is important for a platform with this much flexibility. However, many businesses will still need onboarding or partner support to configure the system and more advanced workflows properly.
Overall Rating
4.2
Creatio earns an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5. Its strongest areas are workflow automation, customization, reporting, and AI, making it an excellent option for medium-sized and larger businesses with complex processes. However, its learning curve, complicated pricing, long contract, and five-user minimum make it less suitable for smaller teams looking for a simple CRM.
Conclusion
After testing Creatio, I can see why it appeals to businesses that have outgrown simpler CRMs. Its customization options are excellent, and the workflow builder can automate processes that would be difficult to manage in a more basic platform.
The AI agents are another highlight. I liked that they can work with real CRM data to qualify leads, summarize activity and recommend next steps. The reporting tools are also very detailed, especially if your team wants to build dashboards around its own KPIs.
That doesn’t mean Creatio is right for everyone. I found it more difficult to get to grips with than the small-business CRMs we usually test, and its pricing takes some effort to understand. Once you add the required CRM products and possible AI costs, the total can look quite different from the base platform price.
For a small team that needs a straightforward sales pipeline, I’d look elsewhere. But if you have more complex processes and want a CRM you can adapt around them, Creatio is a powerful option.
