Conclusion

MailChimp and MailerLite are a good match when it comes to email tools. Both offer free plans, and are very easy to use. With the introduction of Automations we see MailerLite now slightly ahead of MailChimp. In this area MailChimp just isn’t that well-equipped. What’s more is that MailerLite offers all their features to all customers, even on the free plan. It’s also important to note that their paid plans are a lot cheaper than MailChimp’s. For example, 5,000 subscribers are only $30/mo with MailerLite, while MailChimp sets you back a steep $50/mo.

MailChimp does offer more thorough reporting than MailerLite, so if analysis is very important to you, then perhaps you should give them a go. We really like the simplicity of MailerLite, though, and if you have less than 1,000 subscribers, and simple needs, they’d be our pick.
